Saxton Cricket Club is 150 years old. We have 3 senior sides, 3 juniors sides and over 250 members in total.

As the lease for our old playing area expired in 2003, we have acquired 2½ acres nearby and developed this into an attractive ground (with 3 strips for juniors' use only).

We now aim to increase juniors' facilities (e.g. hard strip, nets, sightscreens), and develop a small-scale, high quality pavilion.

The total cost of land, water, electricity, ground works and new pavilion will be about £110,000. Although we are a small club with limited resources we have raised over £35,000 (from Selby DC, Awards For All, Yorkshire Cricket Board, local residents and others) and made savings worth £30,000 (on land, legal fees and plant hire). So, only another £45,000 to go!

We are too small for a lottery grant, but will continue to  apply to other sources for funds. If you would like to make a contribution, however small, please send a cheque made payable to Saxton Cricket Club and send to:
