“The AlbaRosa Road Race is a 'Regional A' race on the much loved Saxton Circuit.” Philip Makinson

This years AlbaRosa Road Race was held on the challenging Saxton circuit. Robert Gray of Team HMT won the race with Archie Cross of Sheffield University in second place and Stephen Feeney of Team Chronomaster in third.

Starting from the event base at the cricket club, the riders rode to the start/finish line at the top of the hill towards Towton. The circuit then makes its way past the Crooked Billet pub to Lotherton Hall before returning to Saxton to complete one of the 10 laps of the 8km course. In total 75 riders competed in the event from as far away as the Isle of Man.

Further details of the event can be found at British Cycling and we look forward to future races next year.
